    Hearoes is an auditory training tool featuring validated curriculum via 60 purposely-built games to accelerate auditory comprehension and auditory memory enabling those with a cochlear implant/hearing aid and clinicians to collaborate, track, adapt and empower hearing. After a big year with strong viral organic growth by word of mouth/referrals along with completing Antler and Lumina X Health Accelerator programs, we're growing and have an exciting roadmap ahead. Now we're looking for another team member to join us on this (wild and exciting journey) with us as we take it to the next level.

    About the Role

  • Hearoes is seeking an experienced full time Firebase/Unity (NoSQL /SQL/C#) Developer to ****join our team. The role presents an awesome opportunity to be part of the growth phase of our company as we shape the world of learning auditory training through games. You'll be part of the leadership team and work with technology that involves exciting and challenging problems to solve alongside talented individuals passionate about social impact and gaming to help shape and build the future of our product/s. This will involve spending time developing and improving elements including:
     

  • Continue to build and scale of the backend architecture using Firestore/Firebase (No SQL / SQL) in conjunction to Unity (C#) or equivalent.

  • Contribute and shaping existing products by prototyping, developing and refining new features based on player feedback and data and providing technical direction and guidance on technical decisions.

  • Interested in other areas of expertise, such as work on functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, validating, testing.

  • Collaborate and work closely with Game Designer and Developer to create exceptional experiences for our users.

  • Help launch new products and features globally, test their performance and iterate quickly.

  • General troubleshooting with technical aspects and maintaining code.

    Must have:

  • Professional developing experience with Firebase/Firestore Databases (SQL/NO SQL) and Unity (C#) or equivalent.

  • Understanding of game logic, mechanics (winning conditions, user flow etc) and systems.

  • Strong problem solving skills with a high attention to detail and work alongside the leadership team.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Persistent self-motivation, initiative, and drive.

  • Working Rights in Australia.

    Nice to have:

  • Solid experience in software development preferably having shipped one or more software/digital products.

  • Experience with data management, data query, algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, using best practice patterns.

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.

  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, UX/UI, sales, customer support, finance or marketing.

  • Based on the sunny Gold Coast.

    Pay and Benefits

  • Remuneration package will include equity in Hearoes. The range of remuneration provided will be based on experience.
